I've discovered a very rich discussion on the new Sappho poem on languagehat, including several different translations and some debate about the text.
The whole of languagehat looks fascinating, though obviously for cleverer people than me.

Let's dance the incapable morris

On Wednesday night I went to the Cricketers in Berwick to see Morris dancing: the Chanctonbury Ring and Hunter's Moon, the expedition being organised by the Sussex group of CILIP's South East Branch.
