Philip Pullman has written to Meadows school in Chesterfield, condemning their decision to close their school library and make the librarian redundant. Pullman, together with Michael Rosen, point out that many authorities are cutting services, as is my local East Sussex, and they will raise the issue at a meeting with Ed Balls this week.
