It is unfair of me to characterise life in Seaford as provincial. I see in this week's Sussex Express the following (not in their online version, as far as I can tell):
"A man was arrested for allegedly brandishing a didgeridoo at police officers. In the early hours of Friday police were called to Saltwood Road, Seaford, after a woman reported her boyfriend was becoming increasingly violent."
"When they arrived at the house, the 23 year-old man from Peacehaven produced a 5ft-long wooden pole, which it transpired was an Australian didgeridoo. He was charged with criminal damage and resisting arrest"
