There's a new photograph of me on the site, taken by Poppy Smith who worked for BSMS as a temp, though sadly no longer. I took my spectacles off, not out of vanity, but so as not to reflect light into the lens. If you prefer me with them, you can always print a copy and draw them on.
I have known about CiteULike in a vague sense for some months, but only recently have started to use it. I was inspired by some training I did on Reference Manager recently; to make it a little more exciting, I thought I'd throw the idea of social software and shared citation database in at he end. Then it occurred to me that I really ought to be using it myself.
So you will soon find a CiteULike link in the sidebar. http://www.citeulike.org/user/tomroper

There is a person on your staff called Tom Roper, whom I believe to be a librarian of some kind...' from a letter to the Vice-Chancellor of Sussex University, 26 June 2010
