I do apologies to readers of this blog, if there are any. TypePad who host it spent the weekend upgrading their service, with the result that my templates and archives have all vanished. I've contacted them but its a public holiday in the US, so I think I'm unlikely to hear anything before tomorrow.
It seems unwise to undertake a major upgrade on a holiday weekend.
