In view of the hot weather (and to preserve it for posterity) I offer here my recipe for cheat's Pimms, which makes something drinkable, not the watered-down concoction fit only for toddlers one makes if buying the stuff in a bottle from a shop.
2 parts gin (at least 40% abv...eschew those distillers who have cut it to 37.5% or less) to 2 parts red vermouth to 1 part orange curaçao, quant suff.
Mix and let it stand for a few hours.
Add slices of orange, lemon and cucumber, top up with chilled lemonade and add borage flowers and mint.
