Bank holiday long run

Today being the bank holiday I had yesterday's long run today, to Firle Beacon, and beyond to the Bedddingham TV masts and then back by way of Bishopstone. Gorgeous weather, lots of ramblers, cyclists and even a policeman on an off-road motor-bike.

I did a short run today to Seaford front and back, saving the long run for Bank Holiday Monday.

Bishopstone and Seaford front

A run out to Bishopstone and then along Seaford front on a fine if windy morning. No Forerunner, so I have a time and an approximate distance, to wit:

Newhaven and Seaford

A Sunday run down to the sea, along the front to the end of Newhaven's East Pier, then back the length of Seaford front to Splash Point and up Seaford Head.

As I ran I thought about future running plans. I'm not entered in anything at the moment, but came to a decision: I shall do both the Jog Shop Jog (20 miles) and the Beachy Head marathon. The Jog Shop Jog shall serve as a last long run before the marathon.

Fathers' Day run to Splash point

It being very hot today (30˚C), I didn't attempt anything too strenuous, a short run to the sea and along Seaford front to Splash Point. It was hard work, especially the return trip

Three mile run

A quick three mile run down to the sea and back.

Last long run

Ran over a considerable part of the course this morning.

The path beside the Cuckmere which can be very muddy is dry so unless there's lots of rain between now and Sunday it should be fairly easy (earlier in the year a glutinous mixture of mud and cow poo sucks the shoes from the hapless runner's feet).

Three miles

A quick three miles this morning to the sea and back. I'm afraid the Forerunner ran out of juice, so no statistics.

Firle beacon early in the morning

Up betimes to put my daughter on the coach for a school trip to Holland, so was able to do an early morning run to Firle Beacon and back
