No running today, fortunately, instead swimming coaching started again. It's exactly two years since I started these sessions, and they'd done no end of good. My front crawl has come on, my breaststroke is more efficient. I still have problems with stiff ankles, and butterfly, which requires me to undulate in ways that, frankly, I think improper, is still a challenge, but nevertheless, there's visible progress.
Today's session:
- 50m front crawl
- 50m back stroke
- 50m back dolphin kick
- 50m front kick with float, alternating with 50m back kick
- 100m front crawl
- 100m back stroke
- 100m breast stroke
Finishing up with some starts (pushing off underwater, gliding, and then a couple of lengths breaststroke)
If I were a real Janathoner, I'd have gone to a parkrun, like jogblog or Travelling Hopefully
