Back to the pool, for another Saturday morning session, with my ever-patient coach. Today's consisted of, if I can reconstruct it accurately:
- 150m front crawl
- 150m back crawl
- 100m front crawl arm drill (this requires me to put a pull-buoy between my legs, hold a float with one arm and with the other do a very precise front crawl stroke, entering the water just in front of my nose and then pulling)
- 100m back stroke drill (much the same as above, except that the emphasis is on rolling the shoulders
- 50m back stroke drill (six kicks without an arm stroke, then six with one arm, then six with the other)
- 50m front crawl and back stroke
- some diving
The session was agreeably demanding.
