A short two-miler: misty, wet, but warm, unnaturally so. Wagtails and a pair of great black-backed gulls (Larus marines); I stretched conscientiously, which helped. I should also reveal that I am doing the two hundred sit-ups programme, and today marked the end of my first week . On returning discovered the Batts scale of enthusiasm for running. This is the invention of Sarah Batts, another running librarian. I would score today's run quite highly, 7 out of 10, though enthusiasm waxes and wanes before, during and after a run.
