It seems hardly worth blogging: last week's training consisted of a snowy hill session and then nothing. I have succumbed to a bronchial infection. I saw a doctor this morning, who advised me not to run for another week. That will make two weeks lost to training. A sixteen-week programme can bear that, but not much more. Still, I was lucky I chose Eastbourne as my half-marathon. Luckliy all the places in Brighton had gone by the time I booked my pre-marathon half. I would have been in no condition to run a half on Sunday.
The days lengthen, the weather is milder. There is time to train.
Last Sunday there were three weeks to the Eastbourne half marathon and nine weeks to the Brighton marathon.
