Today was a swimming lesson day and the lifeguard, who had not been on duty for several weeks, was kind enough to remark on how much I had improved. I found this gratifying, for so much of my athletic experience in recent years is of decline and degeneration.
Today's lesson consisted of the following:
Warm up: 100m front crawl
100m kick with float
4 x 50m single-arm pulls (15 sec rests)
100m backstroke, arm up, palm facing in for five kicks, palm facing out for five kicks, arm in water
50m backstroke
50m scull
