I ran the route I ran last Sunday in reverse, with a few extra miles added at the start. It's enlightening to do this with well-known routes, especially hilly ones, where the easy descents become tiring slogs in reverse; thus what is usually a pleasant section through a barley field became a monotonous slog. The weather was poor, and from Beddingham Hill to Bo Peep I ram in thick fog. Toward the end I felt like giving up, but kept going.
