I ran sixteen miles up to and along the Firle Beacon escarpment. I ran first west, as far as the trig point on Itford Hill, then back in the other direction as far as the hill above Alfriston. It was busy, for not only did I meet the horses of the Firle Ride, but also some walkers for breast cancer, including among them the vivacious Mel Suppel of the Language Institute. I was just outside 3 hours.
