Seaford marathon: 30 September

It's about time Seaford had a marathon. On 30 September 2007, as a dry-run for a 'proper' event next year, there'll be a marathon. starting and finishing at the fire station. The organiser, Tom Glandfield, is looking for around twenty-five runners. The course will be properly measured, with timing and three evenly-spaced drinks stations. Marshalling will be minimal, along the lines of the Downlands 30 or the Three Forts. Medals will be provided to all finishers and any proceeds (£10 per head entry fee) will go the memorial fund commemorating the two East Sussex firefighters killed in the Festival Fireworks fire at Ringmer last December.
