It was warm, and the hills hard, but on my third attempt at this event I managed a best-ever time: 1:58:06 by my watch, and I think the timekeeper shouted out 1:58:03 as I crossed the line. My average pace was 8.57, and the best 5.48, which must have been while falling down Seaford Head.
Next, in two week's time, the Seaford 10K.
Postscript: the results are out, and confirm my time as 1:58:03
