I think a very necessary part of preparation for the Beachy Head marathon is some hill training. The last six miles or so are over the Seven Sisters, tough enough as a run ion their own, but extremely demanding as the closing stages of a marathon .
With this in mind I headed for a hill in Stanmer Park today, and with a mile warm-up and cool-down on either end ran up a hill for 400 meters and jogged back down, six times.
